On July 29-30, the Red Cross Society of China Beijing Branch gave first-aid training to lifeguards for the upcoming 2007 FISA World Rowing Junior Championships, which will be the first one of the "Good Luck Beijing" Sport Events to be held in Beijing this year.

During the two-day training clinic, the trainees, selected by aquatic sports administrative centers from across China for their rich experience in lifesaving, learned how to exercise cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the rescuee as well as measures and skills to deal with emergencies on water. After the training clinic all the 57 lifeguards got the service license as primary first-aiders.
