Jonas BANG (DEN)
On the result:
"It was extremely hard. The standard of the race was high, and normally we don’t get so many boats racing so close. The hardest part was the last five hundred meters. You just wanted to go home and sleep.”
On communication during the race:
"We did shout at certain points when doing pushed and hard strokes.”
On their last day in Beijing:
“We don’t have races in the afternoon and we will go back to Denmark tomorrow morning. Maybe we will meet our parents later, in the ‘Kiss and Cry Zone’, and cry!”
On the Championships:
"We’ll miss this place, because this is our first world championship and we really learned a lot. Everybody here speaks English. This makes life here very convenient. I would not been able to find the toilet otherwise. This is a great place.” |
