Beijing (August 11) – Comments from China's HAN Yan (CHN), TIAN Chun (CHN), ZHOU Ru (CHN) and LIU Hong (CHN) after winning the first gold medal at the championships in the Junior Women's Four, Final A.

HAN Yan (CHN)
On winning gold:
"We feel very excited. Despite the enormous pressure from Germany, we performed our best."

TIAN Chun (CHN)
On their main rival, Germany:
"Germany is very strong, and we always take them very seriously. While they tend to do very well at the start and finish, we have also received special training in these areas. In the race, we kept working hard and maintained a steady stroke rate. We beat them simply by performing as normal."

ZHOU Ru (CHN)
On strategy:
"Thanks to the strategy designed by our coach, we performed very well today."

LIU Hong (CHN)
On the future:
"I really want to participate in the Olympic Games next year, and win honor for the mortherland."
