Beijing, 11 August – Comments from Germany’s Sebastian PETER (GER), China’s ZHOU Xiaotao (CHN) and Volodymyr TETERYCH (UKR) after Germany won the gold medal, China the silver, and Ukraine the bronze in the Junior Men’s Double Sculls, Final A.

Sebastian PETER (GER)

On the performance:

“We felt good and were satisfied with today’s performance. When we reached the 1000 meter mark we were hurting, and the competition was strong which put us under pressure. But I think we got our best (ever) time.”

On their good cooperation:

“We have been rowing together as a crew for four months. We did a good job and want to participate in 2008 Olympic Games as a crew.”

ZHOU Xiaotao (CHN)

On losing gold:

“It hurts. My injury influenced the performance. But I tried my best..”

Volodymyr TETERYCH (UKR)

On the race:

“It was very hard for me to breath and the last 250 meters gave me a lot of trouble.”
